Traditionally a month for taking a summer holiday, we start August with our minister on his holidays.  So we are having a ‘home grown’ day at the church on 3rd August.  In the morning John Baughan leads our worship and, in the evening, the dynamic duo of Barbara Baker and Helen Little will be conducting the service.

  On 10th August we welcome back the Rev Dr Samson Das, Bishop of Cuttack, as the preacher at our morning service.  As well as hearing God’s word to us from the Rev Das, we will also be finding out the latest information about Diptipur Hospital.  There is a faith lunch being held after this service so that we can meet Dr & Mrs Das informally.  Please bring some food that you can share with everyone else. 

  For the rest of the services in August, we will be following the lectionary - looking at ‘Has God turned his back on us?’, ‘The differing gifts we have been given’ and ‘The challenge of following Jesus’.

  Our evening services we will be looking at ‘Galatians - a postcard from Paul’.

  This month, we hold our evening communion service on the first Sunday in the month (3rd) and the morning communion on the third Sunday (17th).  So, if you are on holiday, please join us in spirit and if you are at home, please join us in body!
