We have linked up with a YMCA project in Shkodra in northern Albania trying to improve the lives of Roma children through education.  The project seeks to break the vicious circle of poverty and lack of self worth.  As the project and partnership develops we will add more news on these pages. 

In October 2006 three of us visited Shkodra and saw the progress that had been made.  Some pictures taken on that visit can be seen on John's Flickr page.  Click here to see the pictures.  A further visit was made in October 2007.  One of the visitors kept a personal diary of the trip and you can read this by clicking on this link.
