Reduce Re-use Recycle

Reduce, re-use, recycle - but how do you do it?

If you live in St Albans the council kerbside collections take a lot of materials - see the council recycling webpage for details of what can go in your fortnightly collections. If you can get there you can also take items to the St Albans Household Waste Recycling Centre off Sandridge Road near the King William IV junction.

But even after this you are probably still left with items with recycling symbols on them that you don't know what to do with. And what about the other items that you didn't even know you could recycle? This page is an attempt to draw together useful recycling places in St Albans that you may find convenient.

The Quadrant, Marshalswick

MBFC: Tools (for tools with a mission),

St Albans Town Centre

Lush - have lots of plastic free products, recycle their plastic pots (if you return five you get a free face mask) and also will accept other recycling such as crisp packets.

Marks and Spencer - the M&S on St Peter's street will recycle plastic bags.

If you find any other places we can add to this list please email the web administrator and we can add them to this page.
